Genuine Antique Swiss Bernese Cart for Sale
Club President Frank Whitbread is hanging up his harness after many years carting and is selling this genuine antique Swiss cart. This is not a converted hand cart or modern reproduction as many carts are but the genuine article and is in fantastic condition and ready to go into any carting parade - you only need to add your Bernese!! Frank is also throwing in the professionally made leather harness complete with brass fittings. Fantastic items like this do not come up for sale very often and are usually much sought after, so this is a very special chance to obtain such a rare item. Even better than that, the proceeds are all being donated to Rescue so you not only get a very special cart you help club Rescue as well!!
The cart is being sold by an auction recorded on this web site and if you wish to make a bid please call Steve Green on 0114 2882930 or email your bid to web@bernese.co.uk but don't forget to give your name and contact details. If you want to make a bid but also record a maximum bid which you would be willing to pay you can do this with Steve as well - any such maximum bid will be kept completely confidential and not used to advise anyone else. Realistically £5 is the smallest denomination we should be dealing in.
The auction will end at midnight on Saturday 24th March when updates will be possible through the evening. Please be aware this one off event is not an automatically controlled "ebay type" mechanism so don't leave any serious bids until the very last minute. In the event of equal bids the first one received will be given preference.
There have been several phone calls about the cart in the last few days so interest is growing.
