Alternative Accommodation
We understand that the on site hotel at Stoneleigh is fully booked for our week-end (2011) and some people may prefer not to stay at our hotel and conference centre. We have been contacted by The Bagington Oak Hotel and Restaurant and given the following details.
"We are a dog-friendly 3 Star AA rated 13 bedroom Inn in Baginton - located less than 3 miles from Stoneleigh Park. We are probably the nearest place for people to stay who are attending events there.
We are very reasonably priced. Our rates are Monday - Thursday £60 per room per night and Friday - Sunday £45 per room per night. Both prices quoted include breakfast and are per room as opposed to per person. There is a small charge of £5 per dog per night. For the Kennel Club we would be prepared to extend our weekend rate to any rooms booked Monday - Thursday.
Wireless Internet access is available in the pub for any guests staying with us or dining/drinking in the pub.
Our facilities for dogs include:
- Outside exercise area
- Dog waste bin - with bags
- Water bowls throughout the pub
- Dog treats and snacks for sale in the pub
- Good local walks
In addition, dogs are totally welcome throughout the pub and in the accommodation. There are 2 resident Border Collies - Beau and Jasper - who are very popular here.
If you want to see what we look like then our web-site address is www.thebagintonoak.co.uk.
We find that many people staying with us tend to come back and use us time after time. Currently 91% of people who have stayed with us before would return claiming our cleanliness, friendly staff and good quality food as factors which would influence their decision to return.
We have had some Dog Shows book all of our rooms and host a dinner on the night between their show. Set menus can be provided should you have any interest in this. In addition we also offer a varied menu with our highly successful offer of 2 meals for £10 available all day, everyday"
The club has no experience of this establishment and consequently can make no official comment on it but it does sound ideally placed and very dog friendly.
