The club held its Annual Open show at Grenoside Community Centre near Sheffield on Sunday February 19th.
"TRICIA" LEWIS
Before the start of the show a very well observed and respectful minute's silence was held in memory of Tricia Lewis of the Dustiny affix who had passed away the previous week after a long, painful and courageous battle with illness. Tricia, who poignantly would have been 61 on the day of the show, had Bernese for 20 years and was known to many people at the show, some of whom were attending her funeral the next day.
The BMDC of GB extend our deepest sympathies to Barry and the rest of Tricia's family.
Although the weather was cold and overcast (at least it was dry) there was a warm welcome inside the hall, arrivals being greeted by Swiss music and more importantly the smell of bacon butties.
The show judge was Anne McCluskey of the Macanto affix and the results were as follows with photos of (most of) the winners. (Please Note - depending on your internet connection speed you may need to give the photos a few minutes to download).
