The club's annual kickstart to Christmas was again at the excellent venue of Langley Community Centre on Sunday 6th December. Our judge was Linda Szitkovics of the Karchibach affix and the club again held Special Members Awards during the lunchbreak and these were judged by Lynne Emery. We have to thank our generous sponsor Bern Pet Foods who donated large bags of Orijen food for every class winner and even larger bags for the main winners. Linda Szitkovics who donated fantastic Rosettes for all the Main Winners, Lena Robbins who donated all the Rosettes for the Special Members awards and Toni Rose who donated the boxes of Christmas Crackers given to all the Special Members Award Winners.
Stewards Cathy Connelly and Amanda Hearne, who due to illness was replaced by Karen Bird for the afternoon, kept things moving along and throw in (not literally!) mince pies, Christmas music, decorations, Christmas present buying at the club shop and a good day was had by all. Dave Hardy at his first event as a committee member manned the raffle stall and all the committee and their helpers worked hard to make a good day for everyone.
Puppy Dog class judging
The only gripes I heard were concerned with the slippy floor which was a problem for some dogs but apparently last year matting was used and had to be taken up as people weren't happy with it. I think this is something we need to consider for next year as it was clearly a problem for some.
The committee would like to thank everyone who came for supporting their club event and we hope you all had a good and happy day, everyone certainly seemed to be very relaxed.

MAIN SHOW JUDGES REPORT
A Very warm welcome with a Christmas atmosphere. I enjoyed the day very much,
thank you for everyone that helped, only one problem with the slippery floor.
Minor Puppy Dog (1 entry)
1st Plested's Chippis Knight's Image. Good size, nicely marked, dark eye, too
nervous to go over.
Puppy Dog (3)
1st Turner's Tangychates Beachcomber. 10 months. Good strong bone, moved well,
nice dark eye, good shoulder placement, level topline. I really liked this
puppy. Best Puppy in Show
2nd Bird's Shirdees Love Me Do.9 months. A little smaller than 1st, well compact
dog, good coat, nice shape eye, moved well, strong head, lost out on maturity.
3rd Mortlock's Vellbern Japanese Ace at Hertsmerry. 11 months. Handsome looking
dog, another one that needs more time to mature, good dark eye, scissor bite.
I'm sure it will soon come together.
Junior Dog (2)
1st Miles' Jaybiem Innu Endo. Very dark markings, handsome boy, moved really
well, good bend of stifle. In good coat, good shoulder placement, level topline,
dark eye, scissor bite. Best Junior
2nd Bird's Shirdees Love Me Do.
Yearling Dog (6 entries, 2 absentees)
1st Rumble's Glamrock Ballroom Blitz by Glenbrienz. Well balanced boy, moved
well, good angulation. Dark eye, scissor bite, strong neck, well placed
shoulders, good coat.
2nd Cotton's Collansues Mexican Cream.Needs more time to body up, good
angulation. Dark eye, good bite.
3rd Gorbould's Darius Des Roches Du Metty of Glanzberg (imp) Once again needs to
body up, also movement needs to improve, on the shy side.
Novice Dog (8)
1st Butler's Vellbern I Havent Done It. Very handsome looking dog, good shape,
moved well, he should do really well as he matures. Lovely head, well covered
body, dark eye, good bite.
2nd Biggins' Greybern Young Dude.Good angulation, could do with more body. Nice
dark eyes, good scissor bite.
3rd Murray's Emberfay Voyager at Athollbern. Well proportioned, moved good,
scissor bite, eyes on the round side.
Graduate Dog (3)
1st Woodbourn's Popsiebern Priceless. Strong head, broad muzzle, dark almond
shaped eyes, short hocks, moved well.
2nd Owen's Glanzberg Victor. Coat a little curly, maybe to do with weather, eye
shape good and dark, moved well.
3rd Godfrey's Bernsteph Jimmy Choo. Very nice boy, movement not too good on the
day. Good shoulder placement, level topline, dark eye.
Post Graduate Dog (4, 1)
1st Round's Vellbern Samurai Warlord. A good strong boy, he moved well. Strong,
well set shoulders, nice head, dark eye, covered ground with ease.
2nd Gorbould's Fairynight V'T Beertjeshof of Glanzberg (imp) Another good size
dog, lovely head, ears well set, dark eye, skull strong, movement not as good as
1st.
3rd Owen's Glanzberg Victor.
Limit Dog (6)
1st Curley & Keartland's Kyleburn Night Quintroon. Now this class was one of the
strongest. A good sturdy dog, ample bone, good shoulder placement, level
topline, dark eye, scissor bite.
2nd Nightingale's Manisla Ebony Dusk. Good shape, dark eye, very thick coat,
moved well with nice bend of stifle.
3rd Wells' Bernfold Woodiedoit. Strong head, broad muzzle, good dark eye, well
proportioned, moved well, but slippery floor.
Open Dog (3, 5)
1st Miles' Jaybiem Hedging Her Bets. JW Good size, strong head, well marked,
good bend of stifle, nice dark eye, good bite, moved well.

1st Rumble's Monalou Lucky Lucan for Glenbrienz. ShCM 7½ years old, mature
handsome dog, good proportion, well placed shoulders, good bend of stifle. Dark
eyes, moved like a dream, well deserved to win Best Veteran, Best Dog, Best in
Show.
2nd Avery's Lujento Romeo - Romeo. 7 ½ years, one more mature dog, moved well
but not as well as 1st. A very difficult choice, once again a strong boy, good
bite, nice dark eyes, good bone. Reserve Best Dog.
3rd Munson's Kernow Kualoa Ranch.
Veteran Bitch (1, 5)
1st Sutton's Ch Bernarks Precious Ruby with Bernsteph. ShCM Well proportioned
bitch, lovely coat, moved well for her age, such a good level topline, dark eye,
strong neck, such a pretty girl. Reserve Best Bitch.
Minor Puppy Bitch (3)
1st Grayling's Lujento Per Una. At 6 months old what a little sweetie, she moved
so well. Very good markings, dark eyes, good bite, well turned stifle, very
confident. I
hope she does well in the future. Best Minor Puppy
2nd Stelmach & Davis' Chippis Black Diamond. Pretty little bitch, good shape,
lovely coat, dark eye, needs more time to mature.
3rd Stannard's Bernbienamie First Love. Very nice puppy, good head coming, nice
shape eye and dark brown, movement OK.
Puppy Bitch (4, 1)
1st Goodyear & Turner's Tangyachates Alpine Breeze from Harvestbank. 10 months
old, super puppy bitch, stood out, she moved really well. Good head, good bend
of stifle, dark eye, good bite, well deserved Best Puppy Bitch.
2nd King & Bramble's Shirdees Shirley Valentine. Pretty bitch of good size, good
eye shape, scissor bite, moved well.
3rd Blake's Tangyachates Beach Babe. Very nice puppy, moved OK. Feminine head
and expression, good eyes and bite, needs more training.
Junior Bitch (3)
1st Slade's Jaybiem Inka Hootz With Potterspride. Very pretty bitch, good
markings, moved well, good eye and bite, very nice coat.
2nd Miles' Jaybiem Indi Kate. Little sister to 1st, both moved well, one had
better topline, good markings, nice deep tan.
3rd Sweeting's Holzern Caught U Looking. Nice bitch, maturing well, dark eyes,
good reach of neck, marking good, moved well.
Yearling Bitch (3, 1)
1st Flanagan's Collansues Cream Cookie. Very pretty bitch, moved well, good
coat, scissor bite, eyes a bit on light side, good angulation, level topline.
2nd Toms' Emberfay Eugina. Floor was a little slippery for this little one, she
looked nervous and wide eyed to move, a bit more training will help.
Novice Bitch (2)
1st Blake's Tangyachates Young Dream. Moved well, good shape, well turned
stifle, very nice head and expression.
2nd Toms' Emberfay Amazing Grace. Lovely body shape, good front angulation but
straighter in the rear, nice dark tan, movement on slippery floor, so not so
good.
Graduate Bitch (2)
1st Forbes Shirdees Pandoras Box.Very nice shape, good head and topline, good
angulation, moved very well.
2nd Stelmach & Davis Chippis Ebony Ice. Pretty bitch, good shape, nice dark
eyes, movement not too good.
Post Graduate Bitch (5, 2)
1st Barr's Bernsteph Chloe. Lovely looking bitch, she has pretty head, dark
eyes, moved soundly front and profile, excellent coat, level topline.
2nd Green's Waldershelf Happy Hattie. 2 year old pretty little girl, similar to
1st, nice dark eyes, good markings, moved well.
3rd Biggins' Tangyachates Uptown Girl from Greybern. Mature bitch, nice dark
eye, lacking in coat so looked leggy.
Limit Bitch (8, 1)
1st Blythe's Tangyachates Water Lily. Feminine bitch, lovely head, nice dark
eye, good reach of neck, good bend of stifle and dark tan, good coat.
2nd Sutton's Bernsteph J'Adore Dior. JW Another feminine bitch, slightly smaller
than 1st. I preferred head on first one, but both pretty, good shape, nice shape
eyes, moved well.
3rd Green's Quarts De Chaume Van't Rijkenspark at Waldershalf (imp) Moved well,
good angulation, a little taller than standard for a bitch.
Open Bitch (7, 3)
1st Trevett's Ch Vellbern Japanese Queen JW ShCM. 5 year old bitch, moved
soundly front and profile, most mature in class, nice deep tan, right eye shape.
Best Bitch, Reserve Best in Show, Best Opposite Sex.
2nd Wells' Bernfold Miss Molly. Pretty bitch, good shape, eyes dark tan, lovely
body shape, difficult moving on slippery floor.
3rd Stelmach & Davis' Good Golly Miss Molly at Snoanda. 8 year old bitch, very
pretty, good eye shape, nice shaped body, movement OK.

1st Biggins. Two little girls, they looked like twins.

Class A SM Puppy (6.1)
1st Bird’s Shirdees Love Me Do. 10 month old dog. Lovely strong head, good stop,
dark eye. Moved well good angulation and level topline.
2nd Grayling’s Lujento Per Una. 7 month old bitch. What a cracking little girl!
Lovely to see her so confident. Sweet head and expression lovely dark eye moved
well, good bone and angulation. Good luck for the future.
ClassB SM Junior NO ENTRIES
Class C SM Post grad (7.2)
1st Round’s Vellbern Samurai Warlord. 3 year old dog. Good head, dark eye. Shown
in lovely condition, well muscled, good angulation and shoulder placement, moved
with drive.
2nd Butler’s Vellbern I haven’t Done it. 3 year old dog. Good head and
expression, dark eye. Moved well, good bone and angulation. Very close decision
between these 2 dogs.
Class D SM Open (6.1)
1st Barr’s Bernsteph Chloe. 3 year old bitch. Very feminine head, kind
expression with dark eyes. Nice shape good coat. Moved well.
2nd Stelmach & Davis Good Golly Miss Molly at Snoanda. 7 year old bitch. Good
head with kind expression. In lovely condition, moved well.
